Planet Under Pressure Conference, London 2012
Today, the major international conference “Planet Under Pressure” on solutions to the global sustainability challenge starts in London. SERI researcher Jill Jäger is one of the panelists, and Julia Wesely is also there and will report us about her impressions very soon.

EcoChange Final Conference in Zurich
The final conference on the EcoChange project took place in march in Zurich, Switzerland. Ecosystems at our service – how can we benefit in a sustainable way?
SERI´s research group “Quality of Life and Integrated Strategies” investigates how we can achieve a good life for ourselves and future generations. This implies that we have to take care of the ecosystems we depend on and use their resources in a sustainable way.
This highlight aims to show how we – as human beings with individual knowledge, skills, networks and relationships– make decisions on how to benefit from ecosystems.
Eva Burger and Julia Wesely at the 12th Austrian Climate Days
On September 21st , Eva Burger presented results of the EVES project, which dealt with the ecological impacts of the last mile of groceries, textiles and electronic devices in Austria. The project „KlimaNetz“ (i.e. ClimateNetwork) dicusses the role of human and social capital in coping with and adapting to climate change. Strategies and measures will be developed in close collaboration with communities in order to successfully deal with the consequences of climate change.
