Italian National Plan for Sustainable Development

In co-operation with the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy SERI was consulting the national institution ENEA in the preparation of the Italian National Plan for Sustainable Development, which was presented to the public in 2001.

SERI provided the scientific background for the introductory chapters dealing with the interlinkages between Environment and Development. In its consulting papers SERI is covering a wide range of issues starting from Production and Technological Innovation, Dematerialisation, Sustainable Consumption and Life-Styles, Globalisation, Trade and Environment to Sustainable Development in the European Union and the international framework of Multinational Environmental Agreements.
