Aldo Femia was born in 1966 in Reggio Calabria.
Studied Economic and Social Disciplines at Bocconi University in Milan.
M.Sc. in Economics and Econometrics in Southampton.
PhD in Economics ("Use of materials and sustainability") at Ancona University.
Being a researcher at the Italian Nationa Statistical Office (Istat), he works on the whole range of topics covered by "environmental accounting", with special interest for physical accounts of the man-nature interaction.
His other and strictly linked research interest - on which he cooperates with the Laboratorio di Economia Politica and SERI - is Economic Policy for sustainability, based on the idea of drastic throughput reduction.
