Jill Jäger took part in the presentation of the SERI-Project EACH-FOR in the french journal “Hommes & Migrations”. “Hommes & Migrations” is the leading French journal on migration issues, and has a wide audience in the francophone world.
In this special issue, one will find :
- 6 articles drawing upon EACH-FOR fieldwork, translated in French (Bangladesh, Hispaniola, Kyrgyzstan, Mozambique, Inner Mongolia, Morocco);
- 2 supplementary articles on Senegal and Ghana (also by Kees Van der Geest, but different from EACH-FOR);
- a unique interview with both Jean-François Durieux and Philippe Boncour, reflecting on the respective roles of UNHCR and IOM;
- a general presentation of the project by Jill Jäger, Han Entzinger and Francois Gemenne.
A key feature of this special issue is its iconography: the articles are richly illustrated, with pictures from our fieldworks. I think this is the first time that these pictures have been used in a scholarly publication, and they are definitely adding a great dimension to the papers.
